...because even teachers need a break
Missionary Marilyn -- Substitute at Rift Valley Academy
A manifesto is a published verbal declaration of the intentions, motives, or views of the issuer.
Rift Valley Academy (RVA) is a school for children of missionaries in Africa. Unfortunately, the plans that RVA had in place for their third grade teacher in the first term of the 2016-2017 school year fell through, and they find themselves still in need of this teacher. The term is August - November, 2016. I am hoping to fill that need! I would actually be their plan D, as two other alternates also fell through.
There are missionaries that are in direct contact with locals in the presentaion of the Gospel. At the same time, there are those who support their work. This substitute teaching position is in support of the workers who are supporting missionaries in Africa. The students in this case are the children of the teachers for the other students in the school. These other student's parents are in the field, many in very dangerous positions. The school, RVA, is supporting these missionaries by caring for and teaching their children. This tradition of support staff goes back to co-workers with Paul.
